Note: as your computer does not know the physical dimensions of your monitor, it may be necessary to perform a very simple calibration if you need exact inch, centimeter or pica measurements:
- place a ruler horizontally against the screen
- using BitRule, measure between two points on the ruler (for example click beside "0" inches (cm) and then 10 inches (30cm) on the ruler)
- if the BitRule measure differs from the actual measurement, then click on the Calibrate button (next to the Help button), and increase or decrease the resolution until the measurements agree.
